Directions For Use:
Flowers, Perennials and
Vegetables
- Prepare the beds by
eliminating existing weeds.
- The tender vulnerable
transplants will need 8"-10" of loose soil (flour like in
consistency), free of rocks and other debris. Incorporate enough
Flower and Garden Soil to accomplish this.
- Set plants at proper
spacing on the top of the soil. Follow recommended lighting
and spacing requirements to allow plants to mature fully.
- With one hand, support
the plant, turn the container upside down, and lightly tap the
bottom of the container to release the soil ball. Hold the soil ball
so it doesn't fall apart.
- Prepare a hole large
enough to accommodate the soil ball.
- Set the plant at the
same depth at which it was growing in the container, then carefully
firm the soil around it.
- Water immediately and
carefully not damaging the tender transplants, allowing water to
thoroughly seep to the bottom of the roots. It is good to use
a root stimulator wit this watering.
- Top dress with compost
and mulch to provide nutrients, prevent weeds, retain water and
maintain soil temperature.
