Dillo Dirt  Compost

From the award winning Austin Wastewater Treatment Plant Composting Facility. All EPA requirements are satisfied for approved use on vegetables and food crops; however the city of Austin does not recommend it for this use.
Purchase
  • Maintain a healthy lawn: One bag covers 32-80 square feet, approximately. (1/4" to 1/10" thick)
  • Start new lawns: One bag covers 4-16 square feet.  Mix approximately 1/2" to 2" into the top 4" - 6" of the soil.
  • Top Dressing for healthy shrubs, trees, annuals, perennials and roses: One bag covers 4-20 square feet.  Incorporate approximately 1/2" to 2-1/4" into top 6"-8" of the soil, then cover with mulch.  Dillo Dirt has a neutral pH therefore it is not recommended for acid-requiring plants such as azaleas.
  • Ideal for potting and planting mixes: 1/3 part or less by volume blending with 2/3 parts bark, peat, sand, etc.
